Jurnal Ilmiah STOK Bina Guna Medan is a scientific journal that contains the publication of scientific works in the field of sports and health using open access and peer-reviewed journals. Our main goal is to disseminate current and original articles by researchers and discuss topics such as Sports Education and Sports Health. Submissions are open all year round. Before sending, please send the manuscript immediately according to the focus and publication space. Jurnal Ilmiah STOK Bina Guna Medan submitted in English and Indonesian, and read our author's guide & manuscript templates. This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement of all parties involved in the publishing process of forest product research journals including managers, editors, review partners, and authors. This statement of the scientific publication code of ethics is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. Scientific publication ethics upholds three ethical values ​​in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, namely being free from conflicts of interest in publication management; (ii) Justice, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled to become authors/writers; and (iii) Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, forgery, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications. To avoid plagiarism, each submitted manuscript will be checked further with a plagiarism checking application, namely Turnitin.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and submission of accreditation if necessary. 2. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
3. Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, bestari partners, and other parties to a contract.
4. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and bestari partners.
5. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyrights.
6. Conduct journal policy reviews and submit them to authors/writers, board of editors, bestari partners, and readers.
7. Create guidelines for rules and ethical behavior for editors and bestari partners.
8. Publish journal regularly.
9. Guarantee the availability of funding sources for the continuation of journal publication.
10. Build a collaborative network of research institutions and related agencies
11. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

Editor Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meet the needs of readers and writers, seek to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis,

2. Implement a process to ensure the quality of published papers,

3. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively,

4. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record,

5. Provide corrections, clarifications, and apologies when necessary,

6. Responsible for the style and format of writing scientific papers, while the contents and all statements in the paper are the responsibility of the author,

7. Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, bestari partners, and members of the editorial board to improve the quality of publications,

8. Conduct periodic internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals

9. Support author initiatives regarding publication ethics by including a clearance form in each manuscript submission

10. Open-minded to new opinions or other people's views that may conflict with personal opinions for the advancement of science,

11. Avoiding decisions that are objective in nature by not defending one's own opinion, the authors or third parties by seeking solutions that are scientifically justifiable,

12. Encouraging writers to make improvements to their written work until it is worthy of publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners

1. Reviewing the paper and submitting the results of the study to the editor, as material for determining the eligibility of a paper for publication,

2. The reviewer does not carry out a scientific review of the written work that involves himself, either directly or indirectly,

3. Provide suggestions, input and positive recommendations for scientific writing manuscripts,

4. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations for a manuscript,

5. Encouraging writers to improve writing,

6. Reviewing the written work that has been corrected according to predetermined standards,

7. Papers are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of the published environment based on established scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities of the Author

1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors meet the criteria as authors,

2. Responsible collectively for the work and the content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations and details.

3. State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.

4. Explain the limitations of the research.
5. Respond to comments made by reviewers and the editorial board in a professional, scientific and timely manner.

6. Inform the editor in writing if you want to withdraw your written work.

7. Make a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, and has never been published anywhere and in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.

ARTICLE WITHDRAWAL POLICY

1. General Provisions

Jurnal Ilmiah STOK BINA GUNA MEDAN is committed to maintaining the integrity of scientific publications and professionalism in the article publishing process. Therefore, every author who has submitted a manuscript is deemed to have understood and agreed to all applicable editorial processes.

Manuscript withdrawal is the act of requesting the cancellation of the article publication process by the author after the manuscript has been submitted to the journal system. Manuscript withdrawals may only be made for academically and ethically justified reasons.

2. Manuscript Withdrawal Procedure

Authors wishing to withdraw a manuscript must:

a) Submit a formal withdrawal request to the Editor.

b) Explain the reasons for withdrawing the manuscript clearly and in writing.

c) The request letter must be signed by all authors listed in the article.

d) Await an official decision from the Editor before submitting the manuscript to another journal.

3. Withdrawal of Manuscripts Before the Review Process

Manuscripts still in the initial screening stage may be withdrawn without administrative sanctions after obtaining approval from the Editor.

4. Withdrawal of Manuscripts After the Review Process or Acceptance

Manuscripts that have entered the review, revision, acceptance, copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, or other stages of the publication process are considered to have utilized journal resources, editor time, and reviewer time.

Therefore, if an author requests a manuscript withdrawal at this stage, the following applies:

a) All fees paid are non-refundable.

b) The author is required to pay an administrative fine of IDR 2,000,000.00 (two million rupiah) as compensation for the journal's editorial and publication management processes.

c) The manuscript will be officially declared withdrawn after all administrative obligations, including the fine payment, have been completed.

d) All authors will be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of a ban on submitting articles to the STOK BINA GUNA MEDAN Scientific Journal for 5 (five) years from the date the manuscript withdrawal decision is issued. :::

5. Withdrawal of Manuscripts Without Notification

If an author unilaterally withdraws a manuscript, fails to respond to the editor's communications within a reasonable time, or is found to have submitted a manuscript still in the editorial process to another journal without the Editor's written approval, this action is considered a violation of publication ethics.

In such circumstances, the journal reserves the right to:

a) Reject all article submissions from the author.

b) Impose a 5-year article submission ban.

c) Notify the author's home institution of the publication ethics violation if necessary.

6. Policy Basis

This policy is designed to protect the integrity of the editorial process, recognize the contributions of editors and reviewers, and prevent publication practices that are inconsistent with the principles of academic ethics and scientific publication.
