Efek Latihan Balance Terhadap Keseimbangan Pada Mahasiswa Di Universitas Negeri Makassar
Abstract
Keseimbangan merupakan kemampuan fundamental yang mempengaruhi kualitas aktivitas fisik dan akademik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efek latihan balance terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan pada mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design yang melibatkan 60 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan (n=30) dan kelompok kontrol (n=30). Kelompok perlakuan mendapatkan program latihan balance selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali per minggu, durasi 45 menit per sesi, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak mendapatkan intervensi khusus. Pengukuran keseimbangan menggunakan Balance yatiu One Leg Stand Test (OLST). Data dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test untuk membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test, serta independent t-test untuk membandingkan kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada keseimbangan kelompok perlakuan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi (p<0,001). Skor OLST meningkat dari 14,32±4,56 detik menjadi 26,87±3,42 detik. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol setelah intervensi (p<0,001). Latihan balance efektif meningkatkan keseimbangan statis dan dinamis pada mahasiswa, sehingga dapat direkomendasikan sebagai program latihan rutin untuk meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional dan mencegah risiko cedera.
