Pengaruh Program Core Stability Exercise Terhadap Peningkatan Keseimbangan Atlet Senam

Abstract

Keseimbangan merupakan komponen biomotorik yang sangat krusial dalam cabang olahraga senam, mengingat hampir seluruh gerakan senam menuntut kemampuan atlet untuk mempertahankan posisi tubuh secara stabil baik dalam kondisi statis maupun dinamis. Core stability exercise merupakan program latihan yang berfokus pada penguatan otot-otot inti tubuh yang meliputi otot perut, punggung bawah, panggul, dan pinggul sebagai fondasi utama dalam menghasilkan gerakan yang efisien dan terkontrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh program core stability exercise terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan atlet senam.

Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-experimental dengan rancangan pre-test dan post-test control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 atlet senam aktif yang dibagi secara acak menjadi kelompok eksperimen (n=15) dan kelompok kontrol (n=15). Program latihan core stability exercise diberikan selama 8 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali per minggu. Instrumen pengukuran keseimbangan menggunakan Balance Error Scoring System (BESS) dan Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT).

Hasil analisis menggunakan uji paired t-test menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan keseimbangan yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen (p < 0,05) dengan nilai rerata pre-test pada BESS 18,6 ± 3,2 dan post-test 10,3 ± 2,7. Sementara kelompok kontrol nilai rerata pre-test pada BESS 18,1 ± 3,5 dan posttest 17,4 ± 3,3). nilai rerata pre-test pada SEBT 69,2 ± 4,7dan post-test 80,7 ± 4,4. Sementara kelompok kontrol nilai rerata pre-test pada SEBT 68,9 ± 4,9 dan posttest 68,9 ± 4,9). Disimpulkan bahwa program core stability exercise secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keseimbangan atlet senam.
