Hubungan Antara Regulasi Emosi, Kontrol Diri, Dan Agresivitas Pada Atlet Muaythai
Abstract
Agresivitas pada olahraga bela diri sering dianggap sebagai bagian dari karakter pertandingan, padahal pada atlet remaja perilaku tersebut banyak dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan psikologis dalam mengelola emosi dan mengendalikan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara regulasi emosi dan kontrol diri dengan agresivitas pada atlet Muaythai remaja di wilayah Lampung Utara. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional terhadap 91 atlet berusia 13–17 tahun yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling dengan kriteria aktif berlatih minimal enam bulan dan pernah mengikuti kejuaraan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), Brief Self-Control Scale, dan adaptasi Buss–Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ), kemudian dianalisis melalui korelasi Pearson dan regresi berganda menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi emosi berhubungan negatif signifikan dengan agresivitas (p < 0,05), kontrol diri juga berhubungan negatif signifikan dengan agresivitas (p < 0,05), dan keduanya secara simultan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 37% terhadap variasi agresivitas atlet. Kontrol diri memiliki pengaruh relatif lebih dominan dibanding regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa agresivitas atlet Muaythai remaja lebih dipengaruhi oleh kapasitas regulatif psikologis dibanding tuntutan teknis olahraga, sehingga penguatan latihan regulasi emosi dan kontrol diri perlu diintegrasikan dalam program pembinaan klub untuk mengarahkan agresivitas menjadi perilaku bertanding yang adaptif dan sportif.
