The purpose of this study was to improve underhand passing in volleyball using Teaching Games for Understanding among students at SMPN 13 Palembang. The method used was action research. The subjects of this study were 32 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 13 Palembang, consisting of 18 male students and 14 female students. The sampling method used was total sampling. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted through observation. Observation sheets were used by teachers and collaborators to conduct direct observations. The results of this study were obtained after implementing the Teaching Games for Understanding approach, showing that students' scores improved significantly. The average class score before the improvement was 61.5 (40%), and it increased to 71. (65%). After another improvement in Cycle II, the class average score reached 8.28 (90%). Thus, it can be concluded that improvements in learning through the application of Teaching Games for Understanding in the underhand pass material have increased the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 13 Palembang, and students are more focused and active in learning.
