Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani (JPJ) was established on March 1, 2020 with editor-in-chief Mr. Alan Alfiansyah Putra Karo Karo, S.Pd., M.Pd.

In July 2020 ISSN (Online) successfully registered with ISSN (Online) 2723-2816.

Since Volume 1 No. 1 Desember 2020, the journal has been ACCREDITATED with grade "SINTA 5" by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of The Republic of Indonesia as an achievement for the peer-reviewed journal which has excellent quality in management and publication. The recognition published in Director Decree No.105/E/KPT/2022 April 7, 2022 effective until 2024.

Since Volume 3 No. 1 2022, the cover journal underwent changes. The type of editorial board and the contents of the article there are changes to the header and footer.

Starting from Volume 3 No. 1 2022, the Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani (JPJ) only accepts manuscripts in English.

Starting from Volume 3 No. 1 2022, the Jurnal Pendidikan Jasmani (JPJ) template changes the new format.

Since 2024, the publication frequency will be 3 times a year, namely in April, August and December.
