The study sought to examine the effect of the (SQ3R) strategy, implemented through the guided discovery technique, on students' acquisition of passing and shooting skills in football. Material and Methods. The researcher employed an experimental design featuring two equivalent groups with pre-test and post-test measures, chosen for its appropriateness to the research's nature. The researcher deliberately defined the research community as the fifth-grade literary students at Aleppo Boys' Preparatory School, comprising 105 students for the academic year 2023-2024, according to the fulfilment of research prerequisites. The researcher employed a basic random sampling approach through a lottery to choose the primary research sample, including 20 students, and subsequently divided it into two equal groups: one designated as the experimental group and the other as the control group. The researcher employed the statistical software (SPSS) to derive the research findings. Results. The study determined that the instructional units utilizing the (SQ3R) strategy in conjunction with the guided discovery technique positively influenced the acquisition of (passing - shooting) skills in football among the research sample. Conclusions. The study advocated for the implementation of the (SQ3R) technique alongside guided discovery to enhance the acquisition and mastery of football skills specifically, and sports skills broadly, for all genders.
2025-10-16T07:47:22+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nahidh Aboud Dahham https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/JoPEI/article/view/4968 The Effect of Rhythmic Gymnastics on Kinesthetic Intelligence Among First Grade Students of SD Negeri 105273 Helvetia 2025-10-16T08:01:45+00:00 Tiovany Debora Nainggolan [email protected] Alan Alfiansyah Putra Karo Karo [email protected] Filli Azandi [email protected] Ade Evriansyah Lubis [email protected]
This study aims to empirically examine the effect of rhythmic gymnastics on the development of kinesthetic intelligence among first-grade elementary school students. The research employed an experimental design to determine the influence of rhythmic gymnastics (independent variable) on students’ kinesthetic intelligence (dependent variable). The population consisted of all students of SD Negeri 105273 Helvetia, while the sample included 13 first-grade students for the 2022/2023 academic year. The treatment involved rhythmic gymnastics sessions designed to enhance students’ body coordination, agility, balance, and strength. Pre-test and post-test assessments were conducted to measure kinesthetic intelligence. The average pre-test score was 12.30, while the post-test average increased to 23.15. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests, showing a significance value (Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed) less than 0.05. The findings indicate a statistically significant effect of rhythmic gymnastics on the improvement of kinesthetic intelligence among students. The study concludes that rhythmic gymnastics can effectively enhance motor coordination, physical agility, and body control in early elementary students. This supports Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences, emphasizing the role of movement-based learning in optimizing children’s physical and cognitive development.
2025-10-16T07:49:56+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Tiovany Debora Nainggolan, Alan Alfiansyah Putra Karo Karo, Filli Azandi, Ade Evriansyah Lubis https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/JoPEI/article/view/4969 The Effect of Traditional Games on the Improvement of Gross Motor Skills Among Seventh Grade Students at PAB 8 Junior High School Sampali 2025-10-16T08:01:42+00:00 Irvan Limbong [email protected] Boby Helmi [email protected]
This study empirically investigates the effect of traditional games specifically Bentengan and Gobak Sodor on the improvement of gross motor skills among seventh-grade students at PAB 8 Junior High School Sampali in the 2023/2024 academic year. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test model, the research involved 12 student participants. Data were collected using tests of arm power (medicine ball throw), running speed (20-meter sprint), and agility (4×5 meter shuttle run). Statistical analysis was conducted using a paired-sample t-test to determine the significance of the differences between pre-test and post-test results. The findings indicated significant improvements in all measured aspects of gross motor ability: arm power increased from 1.76 to 2.08, running speed improved from 6.16 seconds to 5.96 seconds, and agility improved from 16.52 seconds to 15.41 seconds. The t-test results showed that tcount > ttable for all variables, confirming a statistically significant effect. The study concludes that traditional games have a positive and significant impact on enhancing students’ gross motor skills, suggesting their potential integration into physical education programs as an effective, culturally rooted pedagogical tool.
2025-10-16T07:53:21+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Irvan Limbong, Boby Helmi https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/JoPEI/article/view/4970 Evaluation of the Futsal Development Program at SMP Negeri 10 Medan in 2023 2025-10-16T08:01:38+00:00 Syamsinur Dalimunthe [email protected] Pedomanta Keliat [email protected]
This study aims to evaluate the context, input, process, and product (CIPP) components of the futsal development program at SMP Negeri 10 Medan. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involved 25 participants, including coaches, players, and futsal observers. Data were collected using observation sheets and interviews. The findings reveal that: (1) the context evaluation, covering the background and planning of the development program, was rated fairly good with a score of 57; (2) the input evaluation, including information dissemination, facilities and infrastructure, government and community support, and human resources, was fairly good with a score of 104; (3) the process evaluation, concerning program implementation, coordination, selection of athletes and coaches, and facility feasibility, was fairly good with a score of 180; and (4) the product evaluation, focusing on achievements, was fairly good with a score of 20. The study concludes that the futsal program at SMP Negeri 10 Medan is generally adequate but still requires improvement in terms of player quality, budget allocation, structured coaching programs, and institutional support to enhance performance in interschool competitions.
2025-10-16T07:54:26+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Syamsinur Dalimunthe, Pedomanta Keliat https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/JoPEI/article/view/4971 Teaching Games for Understanding Training Model to Enhance Pencak Silat Movement Activities in Extracurricular Programs 2025-10-16T08:06:18+00:00 Imda Wilambas Manik [email protected] Dewi Maya Sary [email protected]
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) training model in improving Pencak Silat movement activities among students participating in extracurricular programs at UPT SMP Negeri 45 Medan during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, utilizing a pretest–posttest format. The participants consisted of 12 students actively involved in Pencak Silat extracurricular activities. Data analysis using the t-test indicated a significant improvement between pretest and posttest results, demonstrating that the TGfU model effectively enhanced students’ physical engagement and technical performance in Pencak Silat. These findings confirm that implementing TGfU-based training creates a more interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experience, which promotes better motor activity and overall physical education outcomes.
2025-10-16T07:56:07+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Imda Wilambas Manik, Dewi Maya Sary
