Analisis Kemampuan Kognitif Peserta Didik Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Hots Fisika Materi Getaran Harmonis
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the cognitive abilities of students in solving Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions in physics on harmonic vibrations at SMA Negeri 1 Capkala. The method used in this study is a survey research method without a comparison group which is descriptive-collerative in nature. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class XI MIA. The test instrument in collecting research data was seven essay questions which consisted of the cognitive levels of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. Based on the research data, it was found that the ability of students to analyze was 26.16%, evaluating with an average of 24.44% and creating an average ability of students was 6.26%. The results of the independent sample T test are the sig. (2-tailed) is greater than the probability value (0.532 > 0.05), so is rejected or . This means that there is no significant difference between male and female students. The results show that the ability of students to solve HOTS questions is still relatively low. Thus, learning activities in class still need to be remediated to improve students' high-order thinking skills at SMA Negeri 1 Capkala.
