The brain drain phenomenon has become an increasingly relevant strategic issue in the digital age, when the mobility of high-quality human resources is no longer limited by geographical barriers or bureaucracy. The title “Just Run Away” reflects the tendency of the younger generation to be more pragmatic in pursuing global opportunities, often at the expense of loyalty to their country of origin. On the other hand, the development of digital technology has strengthened transnational connectivity, so that nationalism is no longer defined solely by physical attachment to the homeland, but also through virtual contributions, cross-border collaboration, and fluid cultural identities. This article examines the tension between the individual desire for personal well-being through digital or physical migration and the collective demand for loyalty and nationalism. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this paper attempts to unravel how brain drain can be seen not only as a loss, but also as an opportunity to build global networks that benefit the country of origin. This study emphasizes the importance of redefining nationalism and loyalty in the digital age in order to adapt to the dynamics of global knowledge and labor mobility.
