Perbedaan Pengaruh Latihan El Rondo dan Small-Sided Games terhadap Akurasi Passing dalam Permainan Sepak Bola

Authors

Accurate passing is a fundamental technical skill that plays a crucial role in football performance, making the selection of appropriate training methods particularly important for youth player development. Although El-Rondo and Small Sided Games are widely implemented in football coaching, comparative evidence regarding their effectiveness in improving inside-foot passing accuracy among players aged 12–14 years remains limited. This study aimed to compare the effects of El-Rondo and Small Sided Games training on inside-foot passing accuracy in U-12–14 athletes from SSB Putra Mantara, Wonogiri Regency. A quantitative experimental approach employing a two-group pretest–posttest design was adopted. Participants were assigned to two treatment groups using the ordinal pairing technique. Data were analyzed through normality and homogeneity tests, followed by a paired-samples t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The findings demonstrated that both training methods significantly improved passing accuracy (p < 0.05). However, the El-Rondo group achieved a greater improvement (40%) than the Small Sided Games group (36%). These findings indicate that El-Rondo is more effective in enhancing inside-foot passing accuracy among youth football players. The results provide practical guidance for coaches in selecting appropriate training methods and contribute additional empirical evidence regarding the application of game-based training in youth football development.
