The research employed a quasi-experimental method conducted both on the field and in the classroom. The population consisted of 30 students from Grade V, all of whom were selected as the research sample. Data collection was carried out through dribbling tests using the inner and outer sides of the feet, evaluated with a performance rubric. Data were analyzed using t-test statistics to assess the effect of the independent variable. The results showed an increase in the average score from the pre-test (8.13) to the post-test (9.40), with a difference of 1.27 points. However, the independent sample t-test revealed that the result was not statistically significant (sig. (2-tailed) = 0.260 > 0.05), indicating that the hypothesis was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of modified plastic ball media did not have a significant effect on improving dribbling learning outcomes in football for the students of SD Negeri 094166 Sidotani I Bandar.
Miduk Putra Siahaan Afri Tantri Copyright (c) 2025 Miduk Putra Siahaan, Afri Tantri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-14 2025-10-14 2 2 30 34 10.55081/esj.v2i2.4954 Development of Volleyball Underhand Passing Through Wall Media for Students of MTs Islamiyah Mayang https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/ESJ/article/view/4955
This research aims to train students to develop accurate and effective underhand passing skills in volleyball through the use of wall media as a training tool. The study was conducted at MTs Islamiyah Mayang, Bosar Maligas District, Simalungun Regency. The research employed an experimental method with a sample of 15 students. Data analysis techniques included a normality test to assess the effect of wall media training on the accuracy of underhand passing in volleyball. The results based on the pre-test data using passing skill assessments indicated that the majority of students initially demonstrated weak passing performance. The application of wall media exercises showed positive effects in improving students’ underhand passing precision and control.
Aidil Gilang Pratama Liliana Puspa Sari Boby Helmi Khairul Usman Copyright (c) 2025 Aidil Gilang Pratama, Liliana Puspa Sari, Boby Helmi, Khairul Usman https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-14 2025-10-14 2 2 35 39 10.55081/esj.v2i2.4955 Improving Relay Running Learning Outcomes through the Cooperative Learning Method of the Team Accelerated Instruction Model among Sixth Grade Students at SD 017137 Mekar Sari Asahan https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/ESJ/article/view/4957
This study aimed to determine the improvement of relay running learning outcomes through the Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) cooperative learning model for sixth-grade students at SD 017137 Mekar Sari Asahan in the 2023/2024 academic year. Theoretically, this model emphasizes teamwork, individual accountability, and collaborative learning to enhance psychomotor skills and mastery of physical techniques. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach based on the Kemmis and Taggart spiral model, consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The study involved 18 students as research subjects, using an observation rubric to assess relay running techniques, including starting, baton exchange, and finishing skills. The results showed that only 27.8% of students achieved mastery in the pre-test, with an average score of 57. After applying the TAI model in cycle I, 44.4% of students achieved mastery with an average score of 70. In cycle II, the number increased to 83.3% with an average score of 78, meeting the classical mastery criterion of 80% (minimum score 75). These findings indicate that the TAI model effectively improved students’ relay running performance by promoting cooperative interaction, technical skill enhancement, and active participation.
Rido Manurung Liliana Puspa Sari Agung Nugroho Copyright (c) 2025 Rido Manurung, Liliana Puspa Sari, Agung Nugroho https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-14 2025-10-14 2 2 40 44 10.55081/esj.v2i2.4957 The Level of Knowledge of Futsal Extracurricular Students at SMP Negeri 5 Binjai Toward Futsal Sports Facilities https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/ESJ/article/view/4960
This study aims to analyze the level of knowledge of futsal extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 5 Binjai regarding futsal sports facilities. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach through a survey using a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of 16 items. The total population and sample were 15 students selected through total sampling. Data were analyzed using a proportion formula to determine the percentage of knowledge categories. The findings revealed that students’ knowledge of futsal facility indicators (facilities) reached 53.33%, categorized as moderate, while their understanding of infrastructure indicators was 47.41%, categorized as low. These results indicate that most students possess a limited understanding of standard futsal facilities, both in terms of equipment and supporting infrastructure. The study emphasizes the importance of improving students’ awareness and knowledge of futsal standards to enhance safety, performance, and engagement in extracurricular sports activities. Furthermore, the findings serve as a reference for schools to optimize the quality and safety of sports facilities used in extracurricular programs.
Reza Agita Gurah Ginting Ahmad Al Munawar Dewi Maya Sary Copyright (c) 2025 Reza Agita Gurah Ginting, Ahmad Al Munawar, Dewi Maya Sary https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-15 2025-10-15 2 2 45 50 10.55081/esj.v2i2.4960 Physical Fitness Profile of Eighth Grade Students at SMP Negeri 7 Pangaribuan, North Tapanuli Regency https://jurnal.stokbinaguna.ac.id/index.php/ESJ/article/view/4959
This study aimed to identify the physical fitness profile of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Pangaribuan, North Tapanuli Regency, during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method using a series of physical fitness tests developed by the Indonesian Physical Fitness Workshop (1984), which included five components: a 50-meter sprint, pull-ups, sit-ups, vertical jump, and a 1000-meter run. The participants consisted of 34 students (20 male and 14 female) selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using normative scoring and percentage classification. The findings revealed that the students’ overall level of physical fitness was categorized as “Moderate,” with an average total score of 16.74. Specifically, 68% of students were in the moderate category, 29% in the good category, and 3% in the poor category. These results indicate that the students’ physical fitness levels require further improvement through consistent and structured physical education programs.
Jeremia Kevin Siregar Ade Evriansyah Lubis Copyright (c) 2025 Jeremia Kevin Siregar, Ade Evriansyah Lubis https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-10-15 2025-10-15 2 2 51 57 10.55081/esj.v2i2.4959
